How long have you worked at Tushaus? Just shy of 2 years.
Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? This may sound funny, but way back in 2001 I had to bring a client’s Mac in for hardware service. When I walked into the building and saw the Data Center on display I recall thinking to myself these people know how to do things the right way, this is where I need to be.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? I think the best thing for me is that I truly feel no pressure because I know that if I am stumped or in over my head that we have someone on the team that is always willing to help me get through it.
What’s interesting about your role within Tushaus? I have never worked as an “onsite presence” before, so the challenge of having to essentially be an employee of 2 organizations at the same time was a new dynamic for me.
What’s the most significant contribution you’ve made to Tushaus to improve our customers’ satisfaction? In all honesty just coming to work every day at MRM. I think I have done everything that could be done to ensure that MRM will remain a Tushaus Customer for years to come. I have treated the customer with respect and honesty and recommended and implemented solutions that are in their bests interests, whereas any other firm would have had an agenda that would benefit their profitability. I think the key in this case was to keep things simple, think creatively and not try to over sell solutions.
What accomplishment have you made at work that you are most proud of? Easy, ownership. Ownership in my career, my client, my attitude, and my relationships with my team members. I have grown so infinitely as a result of this placement. My success has been a direct result of my ability to adjust my entire thought process. Much of this can also be attributed to the direction and leadership of Jen Dickert. She has been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally.

How long have you worked at Tushaus? Since September 2010
Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? New office in Madison, growth opportunities in the area and on the Enterprise side of business.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? Support from Managers, Scheduling, Sales and PM’s. Everyone works TOGETHER and is willing to help get things done. Again, I can’t say how happy I am with ALL the support we get.
What’s interesting about your role within Tushaus? New projects, meeting new clients, seeing how other businesses operate. Learning new, cutting edge technologies.
What’s the most significant contribution you’ve made to Tushaus to improve our customers’ satisfaction? To be honest, I don’t know the answer. I try to envision myself as the customer and what I would expect from a service oriented business. Then I attempt to exceed those expectations, so I would be wowed by the service I received (therefore provided TO the customer).
What accomplishment have you made at work that you are most proud of? Attaining additional certifications. Assisting the sales staff to close some new projects. Presenting at Tech Shows.

How long have you worked at Tushaus? 5 Years as of June, 2011.
Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? Many of the people I worked with in a former life were now working at Tushaus, and they spoke highly of Tushaus. I knew I would be happy here, and it wouldn’t take long for me to put my past knowledge into practice. I was right. Within a week, it felt like home.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? The people. It’s always the people that make or break any job. You spend 1/3 of your day at work, so you’d better enjoy it. We’re small enough to care about our customers and each other; big enough to get the job done. I like that if an emergency comes up at home, I have flexibility in my work schedule. I also like some of the fun things we do like the Biggest Loser competition, food drives (where the reward is feeding the hungry AND throwing a whip cream pie in a manager’s face), Brewer Game, pot luck lunches, and community service projects!
What’s interesting about your role within Tushaus? Several things. The first is that I get to work directly with customers to address their needs. Because every customer is different, every day is different as well. Second is that I’m always learning. Third, but hardly the last thing, is that Tushaus is always open to finding ways to do things better, faster, cheaper, and they look to employees to help drive those changes with the hope that customers will have a positive experience. I love being empowered to affect change.
What’s the most significant contribution you’ve made to Tushaus to improve our customers’ satisfaction? I guess it would be creating the process by which we handle one particular type of support renewal. For quite some time I recognized that the same problem was being brought up by our engineers. I worked with the help desk, finance, and one of the engineers to determine how to close the loop on that process. The resolution was something so quick and simple, that we found we could do it at no charge to the client. I think that always contributes to satisfied customers!
What accomplishment have you made at work that you are most proud of? I am most proud of being chosen to lead the Sales Support Team just under a year ago. When I started at Tushaus, I was the only Sales Support Rep. Being a leader (whether it’s leading a team of people, or just taking charge in a situation) is just another way that I can affect change. I take pride in my work, and I’m all about streamlining processes in order to get the job done efficiently and correctly. If I can share some of what I’ve learned with my team, we’ll be that much closer to achieving Best Practices. Hopefully that will translate into more satisfied customers.

Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? I actually worked for Third Millennium Design originally and that company was acquired by Tushaus. I really have enjoyed the transition to a large company with more resources. Everyone here made our team feel welcome and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? I personally think the best thing about working at Tushaus is how empowered I feel to do my job. The managers and co-workers here really trust and value opinions and give us space to do what needs to be done to resolve issues. There is a lot of freedom to think outside the box and do what is required without going through lots of channels to get said work, done. Customers really appreciate our ability to jump right in and get our hands dirty. Having your co-workers look to you for knowledge and respecting your opinions really gives you a sense of purpose, which I think is crucial to job satisfaction.
What’s interesting about your role within Tushaus? Telling people that you work on a Help Desk always conjures images of password re-setting and changing keyboards and mice, but that is a very small part what we do. The Help Desk is made up of engineers that can help in a variety of situations including resolving issues remotely that would normally require sending someone to a customer’s site. We really help to administrate on a variety of levels, from delegating customer issues, to resolving issues remotely, to lifting heavy things. We have an equal hand in serving internal and external customers and strive to help in any way we can.
What’s the most significant contribution you’ve made to Tushaus to improve our customers’ satisfaction? I think the most significant contribution I have made is transitioning Third Millennium Design into a Tushaus team. There were lots of late nights cleaning, moving, creating and tweaking processes, meeting and resolving issues, all in the effort to make Tushaus a better, stronger company. I look at where the Apple team started and where it is and how much better we service our customers.
What accomplishment have you made at work that you are most proud of? I don’t think there is one thing that I have done that stands out. I really take pride in solving problems and taking care of our customers. Every time I see a customer in need and can turn a negative situation into a positive one, that is what I am most proud of.

Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? I was intrigued by the concept of working for a locally-owned IT company with such a positive reputation for consistently delivering exceptional customer service to all clients, no matter their size. The work environment is extremely positive and the company truly believes in supporting a work/life balance while promoting an employee ownership culture. The fact that Tushaus was uniquely positioned to expand in each of its 3 Wisconsin markets was an added factor, as it demonstrated to me that it was a prime opportunity to join the organization.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? Title: Project Leader

How long have you worked at Tushaus? I’ve worked at Tushaus for over two years.
Why did you decide to work at Tushaus? I decided to work at Tushaus because I was looking for new challenges. At previous positions that I had held I primarily focused on large projects in the Financial and Communications industries. I was particularly interested in the desire to grow the Business Solutions Department and I wanted to be a part of that growth. I felt that my experience with larger projects could be an asset to facilitate that transition.
What do you like best about working at Tushaus? I like the variety the job has to offer and I really enjoy the team that I work with. Recently Tushaus has formed a Project Management Office (PMO) where all customer and internal projects are run thru. I particularly like working with my peers to determine about how all types of projects should be handled and how we can streamline our Project Management Methodology.
What’s interesting about your role within Tushaus? Originally when I came to Tushaus I managed software projects in the Business Solutions department. For a period of time I was placed as a Project Manager at the Medical College of Wisconsin focusing on Networking Projects. Most recently with the creation of the PMO I am now also handling Technical Solution projects. Tushaus affords the luxury of exposing me to many different types of clients and projects, this in turn keeps me well rounded and up to speed on new and emerging technologies.
What’s the most significant contribution you’ve made to Tushaus to improve our customers’ satisfaction? Acting as the Project Manager for the Autotask Implementation was something that I was very excited to be a part of. By consolidating multiple systems into one tool for our employees to enter time, track tickets, opportunities, and projects, our employees have increased productivity and managers have increased visibility in reports and analytics.
What accomplishment have you made at work that you are most proud of? I’m very proud of the fact that I have passed my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within 6 months of starting at Tushaus. I had not really done any continuing education since college and it was very challenging to get back in the mindset of having to study and prepare for an exam but Tushaus was very supportive of me completing this.
